Role Overview
During my time at Kayros World and Kayros Games, I took on a dual role as a Project Manager and Smart Contract Engineer, leading two key projects that aimed to redefine user engagement in blockchain gaming and decentralized finance. I focused on developing secure smart contracts and integrating them with backend using NestJS.
Project Highlights
1. Wallet Extension for Gamers
We developed a multi-network wallet extension for gamers, supporting ERC-20 tokens across over 20 EVM networks. The wallet allowed seamless token transfers and was specifically designed to enhance the play-to-earn (P2E) experience, providing a secure and user-friendly interface for gamers to manage their in-game assets.
Key achievements:
- User Adoption: Attracted over 9,000 users in the first few weeks, reflecting strong community interest and adoption.
- Interoperability: Enabled users to send and receive tokens across multiple EVM-compatible blockchains.
- Forked Lens Protocol: Customized the Lens protocol to create a social layer, incentivizing gamers with tokens for completing tasks within the wallet ecosystem.
2. Decentralized Marketplace & Exchange Platform
In this project, we built a decentralized NFT marketplace and an exchange platform for Kayros. The marketplace allowed users to buy and sell game items as NFTs, supporting in-game economies for P2E platforms. Additionally, the exchange enabled users to swap fiat and crypto securely.
Key features:
- NFT Marketplace for Game Items: Provided a platform for gamers to buy and sell digital assets, enhancing the gaming ecosystem's value.
- Fiat-Crypto Exchange: Integrated a fiat gateway for users to convert between fiat and cryptocurrency, supporting a more inclusive ecosystem.
- Scalability and Security: Employed Solidity and NestJS to ensure robust contract logic, efficient token distribution, and secure transactions.
3. Crypto Academy
Launched a Crypto Academy to educate the community on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. This initiative provided educational content and tutorials, empowering users with knowledge on secure token handling and Web3 fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Smart Contract Development: Wrote Solidity contracts for wallet operations, token transfers, and marketplace transactions, ensuring security and transparency.
- Team Leadership: Spearheaded the projects with Agile methodologies, optimizing workflows and facilitating collaboration across teams.
- Backend Integration: Used NestJS to handle backend operations for the marketplace and exchange, managing tasks like user verification, asset management, and transactional flow.
- User Engagement: Designed token-based incentives to increase user participation, including token rewards for community activities and academy participation.
Technologies Used
- Solidity: Developed secure smart contracts for token transfers, NFT transactions, and fiat-crypto exchange.
- NestJS: Built backend APIs to handle wallet operations, user engagement features, and marketplace functionalities.
- Hardhat: Utilized for testing and deploying smart contracts across multiple EVM-compatible blockchains.
- ethers.js: Facilitated interactions between the frontend and blockchain, enabling seamless user experiences in token management and marketplace transactions.
This experience honed my ability to lead teams and build decentralized solutions that enhance user engagement and gamify blockchain interactions. I was able to blend technical expertise in Solidity with project management skills to create impactful blockchain-based platforms.
